Future books

At the November meeting we “brainstormed” books we might
choose in the future, depending of course on what the Staffordshire libraries
might have available in sets. We chose on the basis of one of two criteria. Either
titles which are famous and well regarded but members hadn’t read, or titles
individual members had read and enjoyed, and were ready to recommend to others.

Catch 22- Joseph Heller

The selfish gene- Richard Dawkins

Red Mars- Kim Stanley Robinson

Great Gatsby- F Scott Fitzgerald

Wind in the willows- Kenneth Grahame

Moondust- Andrew Smith

To kill a mocking bird- Harper Lee

Dissolution- C J Sansom

The time travellers wife- Audrey Niffenegger

The house of silk- Anthony Horowitz

Here be dragons- Sharon Penman

The book thief- Marcus Zusak
