The meeting was largely taken up with a convivial meal. Wendy announced that the January book couldn’t be located at Tamworth Library but she will organise distribution when the volumes are found. There was only limited discussion of our Christmas writing. Lisa was congratulated on her very ingenious take on the postcard theme. She had regretted their possible disappearance in favour of “Text speak” transmitted electronically. Philip had a contribution which in discussing the Vikings had explained the origin of the naming of the Bluetooth protocol. It was agreed that Corinne had made an instantly recognisable contribution being packed with historical facts. Wendy had made a very atmospheric contribution about a gale on a Irish island.
All were wishing Margaret well in her forthcoming examination and decision about removing the pins in her foot. She is very much hoping to get back to normal movement. It does appear the operation has gone well as far as can be seen at present.
